dear dimwit,

Missed all here too....am touched by the outpouring of bonhomie and goodwill generated by the birth. Lakshmi and Ravi will treasure these mementos of human love, and I am certain the little one will grow up to be a fine lady...hopefully one day read all this on sulekha and discover how so many unknown people welcomed her arrival

Dear reflector,
Warm words...I am indebted.
My only trepidation is that sooner or later, the young parents will double me up for a baby sitter and make me 'rock'........
rock the baby to slumber each time it wails

Dear blizzard,
what an I say.?...there is so much love, fellowship and camaraderie here that it chokes. I am emotional and do get overcome even when small expressions of human kindness. I am at a loss for words...the sight of a new mother, wet eyes shut, newborn beside her, holding a Kannada mail written exclusively for her by a stranger, as a veil for her emotionally liquified eyes...is stuff fairy tales are made up of....

Dear Bhiju Matre,
Kind words. Sure, little children can defuse even exlosive situations. Their innocence shames us adults into thinking like adults instead of behaving like kids...

Dear ShobanaSundar,

Thanks for the comment: I will convey your best wishes to the elated parent and to the new born. I am delighted that there will be another one around the house for me. It has been long and tortuous six years without the chuckle and cheer babies and kids invite to their wake

Regards, ixedoc

Doc : That is wonderful news, yes the house is fun when kids are around. As far as babies go, yes they do start making emotional connections early and it was very nice of the blogger to send a little something for the new parents. I am sure it is very much appreciated.
