dear purefriendship sir,
what can I say, except that Im overwhelmed that so many have sent goodwishes....and still remember me on sulekha after so many months of silence from my side. Lakshmi is touched and Ravi is at loss of words, as he reads the check 'for Lakshmi' it says, from the USA...I wonder if they even know where USA is or what the acronym stands for......but does it matter? distance is relative, it is geograpical: yet what are oceans when minds and hearts are in harmony. One large family, thats what sulekha is
regards, and hope to see you soon here

Thank you our dear Dr.Kumarsir for sharing your joy & pleasure on arrival of Lakshmi's daughter to this universe and all our blessings & greetings to the new born baby.
May this moment onwards peace, joy and happiness showered upon Lakshmi & Ravi through their daughter.
I know your hospitality and care for them and you have rightly expressed to share with all of us.
Glad that sulekhite from USA responded with her email letter to Lakshmi and this shows that we are all as one family.
Convey my best wishes to the new born baby and to the parents Lakshmi & Ravi.
Some time later I will drop in to Mangalore to see all of you.

Thanks a lot, sudha sharma for the comment and the kind words. I've just returned after visiting mother and child. Both are doing fine. in fact, Lakshmi was giggling as if she's found a new animated toy thats all hers from now. Motherhodd does strange things to adults...its brings them back to childhood and its joys

Thanks sophizz....
I had to share this one. an emotinal high that will lose its impact if tarried with. As for the writer from sulekha who sent a note and check, a minor amendment. it wasnt a 'he', it is a she.

wow...i have heard about you from several sulekhites and shlekhita's
first time i m reading your work
this is just wonderful
starting from the wrapped newborn
to its intense stare, then the reverberation to the past
and then the comback...an unseen friend and his letter
many many emotions untold and unsaid...just only felt!!
